largest and most widely recognised card scheme, used to prove the skills of
plant operators.
EA – Environment Agency

A public body, it’s principal aim is to protect and improve the environment and
to promote sustainable development.
EHO –
Environmental Health Officer
Usually employed by local
government, responsible for advising on and enforcing public health standards, in areas such as planning, noise
control, pest control, contingency planning, water testing.

HSE - The Health and Safety Executive

HSE regulates health and safety in the UK on behalf of the Government. As well
as giving information on legislation, the HSE website is a really helpful
resource for organisations that need help managing their health and safety
requirements, from control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) to
asbestos and stress management.
IOSH - Institution
of Occupational Safety and Health

Chartered
body for health and safety professionals, their website contains many useful
resources for standards, support and issues relating to health and safety.
International Institute of Risk and Safety Management
Membership body who’s aims are to promote Occupational Health and Safety Internationally
