IOSH Managing Safely in Construction Refresher

Audience

Construction, Project Managers and Construction Supervisors who have completed an IOSH Managing Safely in Construction course within the last 3 years and provide a copy of their certificate before commencement of the course. 

Objectives 

To refresh and update delegates in respect of awareness and competence to manage safely and effectively in compliance with both company policy and construction industry best practice. All areas covered in the Managing Safely in Construction course will be addressed. Delegates will be brought up to date with changes in legislation, HSE guidance including British and other standards, and will be advised on the responsibilities of employers, employees and others in relation to health and safety in the construction industry. 

Course Structure

The course is run in accordance with the requirements of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and is moderated by them.

Assessment of the Course

The course material is evaluated by means of a multi-choice assessment paper and short answer examination paper. Successful completion of the programme results in the award of an Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) certificate.  

Course Length 

The course consists of one lecture day which includes the end of course assessment.
