IOSH Safety for Senior Executives:  Provides the knowledge to demonstrate good safety leadership.  Enables Board members, Directors and Senior Management to understand current health and safety legislation and the accountability for the organisation and as individuals.

Delegates will understand how health and safety is an essential part of organisational strategy, decision-making processes and supply chain management.

• Understand relevant current legislation relating to health and safety and the importance of compliance
• Understand the OSH Management Systems
• Understanding and implementation of action plans and systems to ensure continued improvement and annual reporting
• Know the consequences of failing to manage health and safety effectively, from a civil, criminal and financial perspective

• Corporate Manslaughter and Homicide Act 2007 and personal liabilities
• Benefits of having a good safety culture and effective risk management system
• Key factors in the cause of accident and preventative measures
• High level indicators of health and safety performance
• Key actions and responsibilities for Board members, Directors and Senior Management
• Powers of inspectors and enforcement, including PACE

1 Day – Trainer Led Learning

Certification/Examinations

A short assessment paper at the end of training, moderated by Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)

Successful participants will be awarded an IOSH Training certificate
