What does the course cover?

  • Effects of industrial and commercial activity including company concerns
  • Environment policy, objectives and targets
  • Investigate environmental concepts; global warming, acid rain, ozone layer depletion, bio-diversity, sustainability and polluter pays
  • Introduces delegates to the principles of environmental law, criminal, statutory nuisance, civil, enforcement, role of Environmental Agency (EA), Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) and Local Authority.
  • Principles of Waste Management, including national strategy, reduction, re-use, recovery, disposal, waste management Duty of Care, hazardous waste and packaging waste
