IOSH Working with Environmental Responsibilities:  Raises awareness of environmental issues,  the impact of business activities and the damaging effects to the environment. 

Examines financial implications, including potential cost savings in the context of financial relevance to organisations environmental considerations

What does the course cover?

• Effects of industrial and commercial activity including company concerns
• Environment policy, objectives and targets
• Investigate environmental concepts; global warming, acid rain, ozone layer depletion, bio-diversity, sustainability and polluter pays
• Introduces delegates to the principles of environmental law, criminal, statutory nuisance, civil, enforcement, role of Environmental Agency (EA), Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) and Local Authority.
• Principles of Waste Management, including national strategy, reduction, re-use, recovery, disposal, waste management Duty of Care, hazardous waste and packaging waste

1 Day – Trainer Led Learning

Certification/Examinations

• A multiple choice assessment paper and environmental hazard spotting assessment at the end of training, accredited by Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
• Successful participants will be awarded an IOSH Training certificate
