RISK has recommenced SMSTS 5 day block training courses in a physical classroom at our London venue
A demand for classroom SMSTS courses in London
Delegates who prefer to work with paper, reference books not PDF’s can now take the SMSTS 5 day block course in a London classroom. Like many organisations RISK had switched to a pure online 'live tutor led' model of teaching, for the majority of CITB courses after they were adapted to be delivered and evaluated online. However, such is the demand in London for the SMSTS course to be taught in a physical classroom, RISK have recommenced a 5 day block SMSTS course at the UJC, Sandell St, London SE1 8UJ. The face-to-face SMSTS course is taught in a physical classroom, and has proven very popular with those who enjoy the interaction and social learning experience.

The SMSTS is a prerequisite qualification for site managers working on a UK construction site. The SMSTS London based classroom course is being taken by a mix of project managers, supervisors, business owners and clients. This is because taking the SMSTS course gives you an understanding of the health, safety, welfare and environmental issues on a construction site. The SMSTS course, or Site Management Safety Training Scheme, is a qualification created by CITB to establish a clear industry-wide standard for the management of health and safety on construction sites. An SMSTS qualification is shown in the Approved Code of Practice for construction regulations, it is considered to be a key requirement for anyone who wants to be a site manager.
Certification for the SMSTS course is valid for 5 years.
To remain certified in this area, you will need to take an SMSTS refresher course before the expiry date on your certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken. All RISK SMSTS courses are delivered by RISK Health and Safety Training - Accredited CITB Centre Reference 402. All SMSTS courses can be delivered 'in-company' virtually or in-person by RISK Health and Safety Training.
