NGC1 National Construction Certificate - Craig Airey

Video Transcript

My name is Craig Airey, I work for Nestle Waters, specifically at Buxton Waters in Buxton. I am the constructions manager for the Project Division, I am here studying the Construction course with RISK and am currently working on the NGC1. I studied with RISK 7/8 years ago on the SMSTS course and got a very good level of instruction / tutoring last year I retook my SMSTS with a far inferior company and my employers said who did I want to go with to do this time to do the NEBOSH and I chose RISK through the good experience I had that time. The workload was a concern, but I had read into it and the information on your website realised it was going to be an intense course which was reiterated by the tutors on the first day. So I think we know what we in for and it’s proving that way. I think the level of work that I was required to do to pass the course was a concern, but I had been on the web site before and spoken to people on the phone at RISK and they had put my mind at rest whereas it would be a heavy workload it would be manageable by someone of my experience. So when I got her on the first day Mike was clear that you have got a lot of work to do it wasn’t unexpected or frightening. I am aware that there is a requirement that we have competent health and safety advice throughout all operations within the company. I would absolutely recommend RISK I have worked with them before that is why I have come back to be trained with RISK again. This is a 14 day course to have the exams towards the end would be a little daunting, so to complete one early and bank that and then move on to the final course, works for me at least, better than the alternatives.
