NEBOSH General Certificate London with RISK Health and Safety Training
Kevin Latif took the NEBOSH General Certificate course in London - taking the RISK Fast Track NEBOSH course format. This enables you to immerse yourself in the subject matter and take an exam while your knowledge on the subject matter is fresh and undiluted.

"My name is Kevin Latif I work for Universities UK which is the governing body of all the universities in the UK. My role is Facilities Manager, so basically the building is split into tenant, landlord and also we run a conference centre from the building, so essentially I work direct for University UK, but I also work for the landlord and I work for the conference centre so it is all entities in one, so needing health and safety as part of that role is looking after my staff for Universities UK and the staff conference centre and also all of the visitors and people coming into the building.

If I was recommending NEBOSH to someone I would recommend RISK and the Fast Track course over doing it a different way because of the experience I have got in the industry and people I have spoken to that have done the course previously, I think this will give you the best possible chance of passing the exam.

The reason I chose the Fast Track version of the NEBOSH Course because I have spoken to a lot of people in the industry, I have got a lot of colleagues that are managers, building managers, construction, my boss has done the course, so the reason I wanted to do it like this was I have heard a lot of people that have said they have had to come back and do resits, was because they have done a week another week and both the exams on the same day, a wealth of information as well, trying to sometimes do bits of work, as well as you can’t really switch off from work.

So I thought it would be good to do a week and have the exam the following week, so that I can concentrate on that module and then come back have a week off, get the brain going again and come back to do the second module and then do the exam. I personally feel it will give me a better chance of passing, rather than trying to cram it all in to two weeks to do two daunting exams on the same day.
I chose RISK for the NEBOSH Course in London because as I was aware their pass rate
Obviously I chose this training provider as well because as I was aware their pass rate in terms of doing this course, compared to the pass rate doing it the other way and also this new way of doing the course compared to the way it has been done in previous years. So that’s why I chose RISK.
The Guaranteed Pass Scheme would give me the opportunity to re-sit the NEBOSH Course in London over that 5 year period - I'd only pay for the exam
They have a Guaranteed Pass Scheme as well and that’s a good one as module one is quite difficult I’m not saying the other modules are not equally as difficult but this one where it contains a lot of the legal, law and regs and stuff, whereas the second module is kind of more common sense and putting things into practice. I thought the Guaranteed Pass Scheme would give me the opportunity to re-sit over that 5 year period if I do fail. Having the ability to be able to contact the tutor out of hours and also after the exams, after the course has finished having that contact with someone having that bridge, to sort of if you have any questions on any of the regs or anything like that they are happy to take your questions and pass on information and stuff like that.
I found the course excellent
The way the course is being taught was really good he has explained everything well he has sat and taken the time with us when we have got in early in the morning he is happy to have a chat straight away over breakfast, I found the course excellent to be honest.
The London location is good transport links is good.
