NEBOSH General Certificate NG2 Practical Risk Assessment and Written Report

 

To achieve the NEBOSH General Certificate you need both the NG1 module and the NG2 module. You can only take your NG2 after having first taken the NG1 remote course and after sitting the NEBOSH General Certificate open book exam. Delegates booking NG1 & NG2 at the same time will receive a bundle discount which will be displayed at the basket. Which means when booking your full NEBOSH General Certificate course you need to select an NG2 course date to follow your NG1 published exam date. The NG1 NEBOSH General Certificate open book exam dates are set by NEBOSH and can be viewed when selecting your NG1 course by clicking on 'more information' below the specific course. The NG2 course needs to be completed within 5 years of taking the NG1 exam. NG2 course content is designed to focus your thinking into applying the knowledge gained from the NG1 course into creating a practical Risk Assessment and Written Report. Only when you have passed both modules will you have the full NEBOSH General Certificate qualification.

The NEBOSH General Certificate NG2 Course Assessment - Delegates complete a practical Risk Assessment and Written Report which is submitted directly to NEBOSH no later than 10 days after the NG2 course start date.

How the new NEBOSH General Certificate NG2 remote/online course works

Upon booking you will be automatically sent course joining instructions which outline the specific course details. Below is an overview of how the course is delivered remotely using zoom video conferencing.

 

Technology Checks Pre-Course Start Date - This is to check you've been able to access the RISK NEBOSH Personal Learning Zone, test your broadband download and upload speeds for both video conferencing and in preparation for the exam.

 

5 Day Block NEBOSH General Certificate NG2 - The course is delivered online via zoom video conferencing, there is a maximum of 10 delegates per course. The learning materials are structured and delivered in a format to get you familiar with complete a Risk Assessment and Written Report. These are shared digitally during the tutor led learning via zoom screen share and also made available via the RISK NEBOSH Personal Learning Zone at the end of each day.

 

The NEBOSH General Certificate NG2 Course Assessment - Delegates complete a Risk Assessment and Written Report which is submitted directly to NEBOSH no later than 10 days after the NG2 course start date.

NEBOSH General Certificate NG2: Practical Risk Assessment and Written Report

The NEBOSH National General Certificate is the most popular and recognised health and safety qualification of its kind. This is because NEBOSH qualifications are developed based on extensive research with health and safety professionals, employers, professional bodies and regulators to ensure that they remain relevant and rigorous as well as achievable and practical.

As a result the NEBOSH National General Certificate course is split into 2 modules which are assessed individually - the NG1 through an online open book exam and this module, the NG2 through a practical assessment. Within 10 days of the start date you will need have completed a practical Risk Assessment and Written Report. From this you will be assessed on your ability to apply your skills and knowledge to a wide range of issues and ability to deliver positive change to a real workplace. 

 

NEBOSH General Certificate NG2: Course Content

The NEBOSH National General Certificate NG2 course is structured to provide you with the knowledge and skills to produce a risk assessment of a workplace. The elements  which considers a wide range of identified hazards (drawn from elements 5-11) and meets best practice standards ('suitable and sufficient')

Element 6: Musculoskeletal Health

Element 7: Chemical and Biological Agents

Element 8: General Workplace Issues

Element 9: Work Equipment

Element 10: Fire

Element 11: Electricity

 

You need to pass both assessments to achieve your NEBOSH General Certificate.
