The NEBOSH General Certificate NG1 module is now delivered ONLY by Open Book Exam. As a result, RISK have adapted their 5 days trainer led learning so it is delivered remotely, online via zoom. The new course format continues to remain focused on the management aspects of Occupational Health and Safety, but there have been several fundamental changes to the way it is now taught. Because your knowledge is tested in an open book exam, you can research and use HSE reference, rather than memorise chapter and verse.

When you book your course, this also sets the date of your NEBOSH General Certificate NG1 open book exam (See the 'More Information' dropdown on the course listing to reveal the exam date for the course you select). This date is set by NEBOSH and because it's now online, it's means delegate around the World will be sitting the same exam paper during the 24 hour period.

Course Agenda - Days 1-5

This unique RISK Fast Track NEBOSH course enables delegates to fully immerse themselves in the subject matter for a five day block.

Element 1: Why we should manage workplace health and safety?
Element 2: How health and safety management systems work and what they look like
Element 3: Managing risk - understanding people and processes
Element 4: Health and safety monitoring and measuring

 

 

NEBOSH NG1 Module Topics Covered:

Legal requirements for health and safety at work

Implementation of health and safety management systems

Methods of hazard control

Practical application of knowledge and understanding

 

The NG1 Module forms the basis for the General, Construction and Fire Certificate. On passing the NG1 module, NEBOSH award a parchment to each delegate.

Additional subject specific modules can be completed to gain a full NEBOSH certificate.

NEBOSH allow delegates up to 5 years to complete any additional modules and therefore gain a wide knowledge and understanding of Occupational Safety and Health.

Professional Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) – Upon completion of a full Certificate Qualification

Holders of NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety are entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). The qualification also meets the academic requirements for Technical membership (Tech IOSH) of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH – www.iosh.co.uk) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM – www.iirsm.org).
