Course Agenda - Day 6
Having taken the five day block to review and digest the information, day six you return to the RISK training centre for a morning of intensive revision and written exam.
► Morning - Focused, high impact, trainer led revision
► Afternoon - Your exam is taken while your knowledge on the subject matter is fresh and undiluted
NEBOSH General Certificate Course ObjectivesOn successful completion of the NEBOSH General Certificate you will be able to: ► Understand the legal framework, moral and economic requirements together with the implications for good standards in health & safety within an organisation ► Develop, promote and communicate an effective health & safety culture in an organisation ► Identify the key features of a health & safety policy, the preparations and performance review of a health & safety audit ► Understand the importance of proactive & reactive health & safety monitoring measures ► Identify hazards in the workplace and carry out risk assessments, record findings and review procedures ► Advise on strategies for controlling hazards, reducing risks & applying safe systems of work ► Identify fire hazards & consequential risks, advise on measures to minimise fire risks & develop fire procedures ► Identify ill health effects of physical processes of work & the environment & recommend suitable measures to combat risks ► Explain the processes & procedures for investigating & reporting accidents at work |
Upon successful completion of all three modules, you will be awarded the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
The NEBOSH Certificate is accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – in meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership.
Unit NGC1 is included in:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- NEBOSH National Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
So you simply need to study the additional units of each certificate syllabus to achieve your next qualification. It will allow you to gain additional units to achieve new qualifications without having to study or be assessed on topics that you have already covered in a previous NEBOSH qualification.
However, you will need to have passed the above qualifications within the last five years. The five years start from the results declaration of your first successful unit or qualification.
