NEBOSH General Certificate London with RISK Health and Safety Training

Below is an interview with Kevin Latif, who took the NEBOSH General Certificate course in London - taking the RISK Fast Track NEBOSH course format. This enables you to immerse yourself in the subject matter and take an exam while your knowledge on the subject matter is fresh and undiluted.

As I'm paying for the NEBOSH course personally, I chose RISK because of they have a London venue, their unique NEBOSH Fast Track format and their Guaratneed Pass Scheme

My name is Aaron James I used to work in the prison service for 10 years, but I became very unhappy doing that so I left and I now work for a small building company as I am self employed. I looked into health and safety as someone in my family does it and that’s what got me on this road and yes I am paying for the course I am not doing it through work, I’m doing it as a personal thing. The reasons I chose RISK are I looked at a few different companies and obviously price came into it, RISK are very reasonable and because they split the qualification up and speaking to someone that has done the course before I’ve heard that’s a good thing to have two separate exams rather than two together.

The Guaranteed Pass scheme was a big factor, because as paying for it myself I don’t want to have to fork out the money again, just to have to take the exams and only pay for them.

Here's how NEBOSH Fast Track works

I chose London for the NEBOSH Course because...

The reason I chose London for me is because my girlfriend lives in London so it is easy for me to stay commuting up to stay with her. The NEBOSH qualification is probably the hardest think I have done, I’m not sure I was expecting it would be quite as difficult as it is, as I said someone in the family has done it before he did kind of stress it is difficult, but I didn’t really understand how difficult until I did the course, it has been tough.

Out of hours support is a big help..

The fact that Mike has given us his personal number so we can call out of hours is a big help, it’s not something I have had to use yet, but I think for me the real studying starts at the weekend when we have got the break. We are lucky as we have the Bank Holiday so we have an extra day to study and I think that’s when if any I will be calling Mike.

I have got a revision strategy..

I have got a revision strategy so hopefully I won’t need to, but it is nice to know he is there if we need him and his knowledge is amazing. I think his teaching style is very good, he’s abrupt he doesn’t mess about he tells you as it is. If you go off course he will shut you down but that is not a bad thing, at least you know where you stand as he’s not letting you wonder off on a tangent you know.

He is teaching you exactly what you need to know and that is a good thing definitely.
