Martin O'Conner achieves Distinction for NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction

Martin explains how the NEBOSH qualification will help him meet legal requirements in relation to his role within the engineering and design team of Leicestershire County Council, Highways & Transportation Department.

Health and safety a priority, NEBOSH qualification provides the understanding and framework

"Hi, my name is Martin O’Connor I work for Leicestershire County Council in the engineer and design team. I recently did the Nebosh in contruction course and I passed with a distinction."

NEBOSH in-house delivery well paced

The Nebosh course was delivered in-house at our organisation with one of the RISK assessors/trainers coming in to give us the course. There was a lot of information but it was nicely paced out.  We learnt a lot each day, did some homework each night and then came back in the next day to check our learning. It was very enjoyable.

12 Leicestershire County Council employees who all passed the in-house NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety exam – achieving five distinctions, five credits & two passes.

NEBOSH will help me meet health and safety requirements

In terms of my job role, doing the course will help me to meet all the legal requirements that I need to meet and make sure that I am there for the people side of things, so that I am looking after the people properly that work with me. Also people in my team did it so we can discuss ideas about health and safety in the office.
