NEBOSH reviews its syllabus every September to update any changes in the law in relation to Health and Safety.

The NEBOSH NGC1 module is the foundation of the NEBOSH syllabus. The NEBOSH National General Certificate provides a broad understanding of key health and safety issues, covering the legal requirements for health and safety in the UK and the identification and control of workplace hazards. NGC1: Management of Health and Safety module provides the foundation of health and safety knowledge, covering HSE legislation and the key elements of an effective Health and Safety Management System.

What does the NEBOSH Syllabus cover?

More than 190,000 people already hold the NEBOSH National General Certificate, which is by far the most popular and widely-recognised health and safety qualification of its kind. Holders of the qualification are able to identify, evaluate and control a wide range of workplace hazards.

The qualification encourages a pragmatic approach to managing risk and covers the main legal requirements for health and safety in the UK. It not only equips delegates with the skills and knowledge to manage workplace health and safety effectively, but can also increase their earning potential.
