CITB SSSTS 2 day online course
This CITB SSSTS 2 day online course is for those who have, or are about to get, supervisory responsibilities. Through completing the CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training, supervisors will be provided with an ability to understand health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities. It will highlight the requirement to promote health and safety to supervise effectively. The SSSTS course is endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group as the standard training for all supervisors working on UKCG sites.
Does this CITB SSSTS 2 day online course differ from the classroom version?
The online course content remains the same as classroom-based SSSTS training however, you’ll attend a scheduled, tutor-led interactive class via Zoom video conferencing. This two-day live virtual classroom course provides project supervisors, site supervisors, business proprietors and client-based personnel with the knowledge and skills to enable them to ensure healthy and safe conditions for construction site employees. You will need access to a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, microphone and speaker - but if you are in any doubt, speak with one of our support team on 01623 749 718, who will arrange for a zoom check to be carried out, prior to the training.
How is the SSSTS 2 day online course assessed?
At the end of this virtual SSSTS course delegates are required to sit an exam paper consisting of 25 questions, of which 4 are safety critical and require a short written answer. In order to pass the course, delegates MUST answer ALL of the safety critical questions correctly and score 80% or more (24 out of 30).
The exam is scheduled on the second day of the course and is conducted via Zoom video conferencing with your tutor. No secondary devices (i.e. mobile phones) are allowed during the exam.
Delegates who successfully complete the projects and assessment are awarded the CITB SSSTS - Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme certificate which is valid for 5 years.
