Sending Staff on an SSSTS or SMSTS Course?

Sending Staff on an SSSTS or SMSTS Course?

Could SMSTS London Based Training Course be the one?

To meet the legal obligations of the Health and Safety at Work Act, supervisors responsible for onsite health and safety need to pursue training to ensure they hold the right knowledge and competency required for the role. To support this, RISK offer SMSTS London based training courses to help your staff obtain the recognised qualification required.

However unless your staff are managing a construction workforce, our SMSTS London course may not be the ideal option. Here is what to consider:

SMSTS or SSSTS; which to consider?

Our SMSTS London courses (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) are 5 days in duration and include practical exercises, real life case studies and a written exam on the last day. This enables learners to manage H&S on site, implement best practice, prepare risk assessments and understand current health and safety, environment and welfare legislation.

Our SMSTS London courses are ideal for people who need to manage a construction workforce and the 5 year SMSTS certificate is often a standard entry level for many UK construction companies.

Our SSSTS London courses (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) are only 2 days in duration and cover the importance of risk assessments and the understanding of control measures to reduce health issues and construction accidents.

By the end of the course, learners will take a brief multiple choice exam and receive a SSSTS card. This is a great course for a solid foundation in health and safety for new site supervisors or anyone looking to pursue a supervisory role.
