NGC1 National Construction Certificate - Michelle Wardley

Video Transcript

My name is Michelle Wardley and I work for Leicestershire Police as a Support Manager for the East Midlands Special Operations Unit. I am doing the NGC1 Module. I chose RISK for my NEBOSH training because it was recommended to me by the Health & Safety Advisor at Derbyshire Police where I previously worked. I really enjoyed the RISK approach to teaching the NEBOSH at the minute. It is hard, very intense and it is very fast paced so you have got to keep up but as long as you do the homework and studying needed then I can’t see any problems. The tutors are good, they will ask you questions they will stop if you don’t understand things, they explain things, there is loads of time in the morning to go back through what you have done the night before to make sure everything is right, discussing it with other people, make sure they are doing the same, I think its’ really good.

I am aware of the employers legal obligation, I wasn’t aware of the specifics before I started the course but my company has got health and safety departments and police forces I have worked for before have always had health & safety departments so obviously that impresses that there is a legal obligation.

I would definitely recommend others to choose RISK as a provider for NEBOSH training. I like the way the courses are run and the trainers are always really helpful. The way it is all put into a week rather than stretching it out over a long period of time which doesn’t always fit around other peoples’ lives and also the location is really convenient.
